Your New Role…

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day to day accounting transactions including accounts payable, cash management, Bank and account reconciliation, and payroll oversight. Lead the monthly close process each month. Under general supervision, propose and implement fiscal policies and procedures. Responsible for the timeliness of financial reporting. Some of the responsibilities of this role include preparing financial statements for all subsidiaries, oversee preparations for tax reporting, oversee and serve as back up for payroll submission, assisting management in maintaining positive net revenue and net cash position, creating a capital budget and tracking fixed assets, and preparing documentation for financial audits.

Skills & Knowledge:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate plans and directions effectively

· Ability and desire to work with multi-cultural staff and establish collaborative working relationships

· Must have excellent organizational skills including the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines

· Demonstrated ability to effectively develop financial statements according to GAAP, analyze operations, and organize close processes.

· Knowhow to problem solve accounting and reporting issues and proactively respond to new program needs

· Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and reasoning

· Experience with financial information systems and office software tools including NetSuite, Quickbooks, Paycom, Excel, Outlook and Concur preferred

· Respect and maintain confidentiality within all aspects of this role

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience

· A minimum of five years of experience working in accounting or finance.

· Experience in the preparation of management reports, and internal and external financial statements, preferably in a non-profit organization.
