Security Sales Associate

An outstanding opportunity exists to join a security system solutions company in Millstone NJ. As a Security Sales Associate, your key responsibilities will include supporting the sale process of our Account Managers as well as direct End User Sales. The preferred candidate must have excellent communication skills and ability to persuade and close sales. The candidate will interact with inter-company departments and customers frequently to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

What You'll do:
  • Market, promote, and sell electronic security, access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm system installations, and other low voltage solutions.
  • Market, promote, and sell maintenance agreements.
  • Interpret bid documents, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Perform surveys of premises to make complete and accurate estimates.
  • Design systems and prepare quotes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and cost effectiveness in accordance with customer expectations and profitability goals of the department.
  • Enter and follow up on quotes using CRM and ERP applications used by the company to maintain correct and complete records of all sales related activities.
  • Expand client base and maintain existing customer relationships to ensure and increase sales volume consistent with the department’s marketing objectives and sales plan.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial applications of security, access control, IP video, Intrusion, and other low voltage systems required. Understanding of Internet (IP, routing, network, security, active directory, etc.) preferred.
  • High level of competency and proficiency in use of CRM, Project Management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Very highly motivated and success driven.
  • Must have ability to handle a variety of situations encountered during the sales process.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and small team environment with Management, other Technical Specialist, Applications Engineers, and inside and outside sales staff.
  • Critical thinking skills - recognize and analyze problems, develop, and implement solutions
  • Must be willing to travel within the NJ/NY market
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & pass any required company background checks
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required: Bachelors’ degree preferred
