The Secondary Operator responsibilities:
- Ability to use required personal protective safety equipment and follow safety rules.
- Ability to read and understand operating procedures relative to job being performed.
- Ability to gain knowledge to understand inspection and test status.
- Ability to perform leak test operations and visual inspections.
- Handwork (filing, grinding, sanding) per casting work instructions.
- Pack castings in dunnage or pallets per casting work instructions.
- Complete appropriate production paperwork such as: attach tickets, tags, etc. to dunnage or pallets.
- Communicate any casting discrepancies with the casting to Supervisor or Lead.
- Housekeeping.
- Complete all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
The Secondary Operator must have:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Repeatedly handles castings weighing up to 30-35 lbs. (for castings weighing in excess of this amount hoists are used).
- Repeatedly positions parts weighing up to 90 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, turn side to side.
