Job Summary:

The Project Manager will lead and mentor the Agile teams and vendor resources to successfully complete projects while adhering to defined best practices and agile project management methodology. The Project Manager will assist in defining these best practices and project management methodology to be used by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects for the Agile teams by facilitating agile and scrum activities, events, and meetings, including Kanban board and retrospectives.
  • Assist the product owner with program, project, and product updates as well as backlog refining.
  • Partner with team members to ensure clarity of needs and plan for changes, updates, and new products.
  • Coach agile principles to various levels across the business, including stakeholders.
  • Remove impediments or guide the team(s) to remove impediments by finding the right resources to address them.
  • Take a proactive approach to manage and communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, provide identification, coordination, mitigation, or escalation as necessary.
  • Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep the team running at high performance.
  • Conduct postmortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Create high-level, detailed run books and timelines to ensure successful, on-time iterative releases.
  • Ensure that the team has conducted the diligence to deliver a quality product without any compromises.
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination; build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to get alignment on common business/end-user/release goals.
  • Assist with portfolio and resource management for internal technology team and enterprise wide for enterprise project resources.
  • Own and manage communication plan across projects, which may span multiple teams.
  • Manage IT project financials-project budget and forecast for IT resources, hardware, software, and labor.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for projects, validate cost and benefit assumptions with stakeholders, and product owners.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3-5 Years

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
PMP (Preferred)

Scrum Master Certification (Required)

Other Training, Technical Skills or Knowledge

Familiarity with various related operating, improvement, and compliance frameworks such as ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, and PMI (Required)
Experience with Agile concepts (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) (Required)

Jira and Atlassian Suite (Preferred)

MS Project (Preferred)

Abilities and Behaviors

  • Exposure to Agile/project management methodologies, networks, systems, telecommunications, call centers, and business applications
  • 3+ years of Information Technology Agile/Project Management experience
  • 2+ years of Credit Union or Financial industry experience preferred

  • Exposure to working with executive level stakeholders
  • Ability to manage project budgets and forecasting

The hiring range for this position is $75,030 to $113,740 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
