School Based Mental Health Specialist
$500 Signing Bonus!
(prorated for FT/30 and PRN)
Position can be based out of Bent, Baca, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero, and Prowers Counties

Fulltime (benefit eligible) at 40 hrs/wk, 30 hrs/wk, or PRN (non-benefit eligible) at 0-29 hrs/week

- Relocation funds available, up to $1,500, of reasonable IRS-allowable expenses.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human services or behavioral health field
- Proof of COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
- Ability to pass drug test and background check (including MVR)
- English (speaking, writing and reading) and basic computer skills
- Timely and proper attendance
- Appropriate and effective work performance
- Ability to take direction and follow instruction
- TB test result (within past 12 months)
- May require:
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive, insurability and willingness to travel.
- Annual flu vaccination
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster ongoing relationships with each school district in the 6-county service area.
- Coordinate and provide Mental Health First Aid trainings with school districts, SHG staff, and other community agencies by request.
- Provide area school districts consultation, support, and child-focused prevention/intervention.
- Provide training and education to local schools, as requested, with focus on youth behavioral health.
- Provide community outreach to all 6 counties and are schools.
- Document efforts directly to the Office of Behavioral Health, as required, and attend scheduled meetings as requested.
- Facilitate 30 referrals to behavioral health services in a fiscal year per the OBH contract.
- Be responsible for full implementation of OBH work plan.
Salary:
$16.12/hr (non-exempt)
