Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the SAP Operator will operate the designated piece of equipment once all training requirements have been met. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who is capable of learning and following all processes as well as safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Position Responsibilities

  • Receive the finished products (brites) already palletized.
  • Verify correct product code, make sure production ticket is the same code as the product code.
  • Enter codes, after verification, in System Application Programs (SAP) to print placards,
  • Wrapping pallet's, placing placards and production ticket on the pallets.
  • Verify wrap is firm and evenly distributed to prevent lose product.
  • Complete process with production forklift driver to ensure correct transfer of pallets to warehouse.
  • Complete SAP Wrapping process stated above for all other departments and locations within plant as needed.
  • In drums department, SAP operator will be responsible for creating production tickets.
  • Verify inventory every two hours to prevent any ghost pallets.
  • Verify the inventory at end of shift and create excel report to be distributed among production supervisors.
  • Work with Quality Assurance/Control whenever there is product rejected or on hold, to make sure this product is not released to put away,
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office programs to complete reports, spreadsheets and to create placards as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This function is mainly in the back yard, must be able to perform in different weather conditions.
  • Computer experience required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to read or write in either English or Spanish. Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
