Job Summary:
The Sales and Service Representative, under the direction and guidance of the Branch Sales Assistant Manager, promotes all banking products and services through direct sales, referrals, and participation in marketing campaigns in accordance with the organization’s sales culture to achieve personal and branch goals, while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Attends and orients clients to bank products and services to affect the sales of bank products and services.
- Responds to and resolves routine client inquiries, informing and seeking guidance from management regarding the resolution of inquiries or issues beyond scope of authority.
- Develops and retains relationships with clients and presents alternatives
to their needs in accordance with the Cohen Brown and One Stop Shop philosophy. - Gathers information from clients and performs data entry/keyboarding functions to affect the establishment of accounts, ensuring adherence to bank and regulatory account opening requirements and other organizational requirements.
- Affects application processing in accordance with established
documentation requirement procedures and performs functions to affect the timely closing and disbursement of loan products.
- Verifies client’s availability of checking accounts funds. Maintains a log of the work area documents and forms.
- Complies with all related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending and Community Reinvestment Act.
- Prepares and submits production reports.
- Complies with and supports the Branch Sales Culture, working plans and administrative procedures, including but not limited to the Total Quality Program.

Other Responsibilities:
- Performs greeter duties when needed, ensuring compliance with the organization’s service quality agenda.
- Assists management with special projects and tasks as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Independence of Judgment:
Very little exercise of independent discretion; the independence of judgment for this position is limited to defined and documented guidelines, policies and procedures. This position receives direction and guidance from members of the branch management team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Competencies:
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; the ability to speak and comprehend the English language.

The impact of errors of this position could affect activities related to the position, unit and other departments, and the image of the organization. Errors have financial, legal and regulatory implications.

Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; and/or 4 to 5 years experience working in a financial services, sales or customer service environment.
Experience in assessing clients needs to sell, promote, refer or cross sell various bank products and services.
Ability to work flexible and non-traditional hours, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays
