Job description
The Sales / Purchasing Manager will be responsible for our customers and wood suppliers in the Atlanta GA to Chattanooga TN to Birmingham AL markets. The general manager will also network with wood supplies in the Southeast to help build a strong supply position for Tree Brand. The duties will include:
Requirements:- Purchasing of raw materials, maintaining existing supply relationships, and developing new lines of supply.
- Customer Relations and service of our existing customers
- Working closely with VP/Owner and Plant Operations team
- Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
- Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
- Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives
- Reports to Owner(s) President and Vice President
- Anticipate 2-3 days of travel to customers during the week – very infrequent overnight
Qualifications:
- Strongly prefer experience in pallet or lumber manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree or significant management experience
- Exceptional people skills and decision- making skills
- Excel proficiency
- Excellent mathematical ability and an analytical mind
