Sales Engineer

Minimum 2 Years experience in Sales

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in sales of automated equipment.

Requirements of the Sales Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree required; Engineering degree strongly preferred
• Five plus years of experiencing in Sales
• Knowledge of automation and conveyor equipment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a mechanical mind set

Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer

• Develop plans to business from Key Accounts and provide management with required information for pricing decisions and product development.
• Determine customer needs and critique proposed material handling systems to determine the likelihood of the customer purchasing.
• Meet with customers, review job sites, occasional limited climbing. Identify capable subcontractors in local areas to assist Estimating in the proposal effort. This includes taking contractors on “job walks” as required.
• Develop close customer relationships with Key decision makers in purchasing, engineering, and at the plant levels.
• Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Provides product, service, or equipment, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
• Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.
• Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
