Broadband Hospitality, a leading provider of hospitality interactive application development and technology services, has an immediate opportunity for a Sales Engineer.

Job Description:

This Sales Engineer position will assist in the evaluation and sales of technology products and solutions to our current client base, as well as potential new clients. This includes system architecting/design, documentation, and product selection in the context of the various IT infrastructure and guest/resident-facing technology solutions that we sell. Candidates must have a good working knowledge of IT and experience in understanding client’s needs through the typical sales pipeline process. As such, this position focuses on collecting information and requirements from clients, general contractors, consultants, supplier partners, BBH procurement, and BBH technical team subject matter experts (SMEs) to assist BBH sales representatives to assemble single and multi-scope solution packages for clients. Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects at a time as at any moment active projects will be in discovery phase, proposal phase, and execution phase.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the collection of property/site information to help identify client requirements and needs.
• Determining the best BBH products/services to meet requirements and creating bills-of-materials, scopes of work, and general guidance to BBH Sales representatives for the Sales team to generate corresponding quotes and proposals.
• Creating technical drawings, diagrams, and markups for use by staff to complete contracted projects. Current BBH scopes include:
• Low-Voltage Wiring (fiber, Cat6, coax, speaker cabling)
• Wired and wireless internet access which includes WLAN Controller, Wi-Fi access points, Firewall, Routing & Switching, and Gateway/Authentication/PAN
• PBX solutions (IP and analog-based)
• Assist with change orders (BBH-driven, client-driven), including mark-up edits

Skills Required:

• Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
• Ability to read and decipher blueprints (construction, architectural, civil, electrical)
• CAD (Bluebeam Revu preferred)
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Positive, service-oriented personality
• Willingness to travel by both air and car (domestic USA, Mexico, Latin America, and Caribbean)
• Network design (both wired and wireless)
• Low voltage/structured cabling design

Skills Preferred:

• Hospitality, MDU, and/or Senior Living verticals experience
• On-premises and/or cloud-based PBX system design
• DIRECTV/CATV design
• Surveillance/ IP CCTV design
• Networking:
• Sonicwall firewalls
• DOCSIS CMTS/Modems general knowledge
• Networking protocols: SNMP, TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, DNS, DHCP
