The hospital gift shops are retail stores with a focus on customer service and helping patients, visitors and staff at Mayo Clinic. You will be working at multiple locations with a team of friendly, positive, and upbeat volunteers and staff.

Position description
Performs retail sales operations in the corresponding Mayo Clinic Gift Shop location. Assists customers with sale of product, competent in use of point of sales system, stocks and merchandises inventory, provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors, Mayo employees and internal department representatives in a fast paced environment. Assists in coordinating gift shop operations. Works cooperatively with gift shop manager in the realm of inventory control, product merchandising, record keeping, marketing and promotions. Receives merchandise; must be able to lift/move all inventory.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of previous customer/patient experience required. One year of point of sales fundamentals required. One year of retail sales and merchandise experience required.

Additional qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and organizational skills. Strong human relations/communication skills and ability to problem solve and make quick decisions. Knowledge/use of the internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel basic applications.

Schedule details

Schedule will be Saturday mornings and early afternoon. Specific hours to be determined. 2 evenings 4-7:30pm. This is a supplemental position with an average of no more than 29 hours per pay period. Will be primarily working at Sisters Crossing Saint Marys Gift Shop.

Saturday mornings and early afternoon (approximately 8am to 1:30pm)
