West Central Electric Cooperative in Higginsville, MO is looking to hire a full-time Compliance and Safety Coordinator to create and implement training programs for our employees, inspect services, and stake new services. This salary range for this position is $49,900 - $58,200, depending on experience and qualifications. In 1939, when existing utilities believed that energizing the countryside wasn't a profitable venture, West Central Electric Cooperative was established to bring electricity to rural areas. We now provide power to more than 14,400 meters through 2,600 miles of line in five counties, including Lafayette, Johnson, Eastern Jackson, and a small part of Cass and Pettis counties. As a locally owned electrical coop, we are committed to providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to improve the quality of life for our member-owners.

DAY TO DAY AS THE ELECTRICAL COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

As our Compliance and Safety Coordinator, you help ensure that our linemen work and return home safely. This is a vital position in which you develop safety programs and oversee compliance with current safety codes, standards and regulations. When assigned, you will inspect services on the system and stake new services.

HOW TO EXCEL AS OUR COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

• 1+ years of experience in a similar position
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A bachelor's degree in a related field OR experience working with a rural electric cooperative would be preferred but isn't required. Are you a proactive and adaptable problem solver? Do you have strong interpersonal skills? Are you highly observant and detail-oriented? Can you juggle multiple tasks without letting one fall behind?
