Job description
Under limited supervision of School Mental Health Coordinator, employee will perform direct School Mental Health services. Therapist will provide a therapeutic program, including prevention and early prevention and early invention with youth risk for social, emotional, behavioral and/or academic difficulties in designated Spartanburg County Schools in District 1.
Increase collaborative efforts between SAMHC, the School Districts, and Community organization involving all in the implementation process. Provides services in a culturally sensitive manner. Assist direct supervisor with the task of increasing public awareness and appropriate utilization of SMH.

- Provide Assessment, Individual, Group and Family Therapy services, as well as intake and ongoing assessments to child, adolescent and adult SAMHC patients.
- Adheres to all Corporate Compliance, Outcome Evaluation, Research, and Continuity of Care Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains client charts according to requirements of current Quality Assurance manual and assures high quality services have been provided in a culturally sensitive manner to the clients.
- Provides consultation, education and prevention strategies to families, school personnel, etc.
A master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or the social sciences.
