Hours/Shift:

Full-time, 36 hours per week. Days

Previous charge nurse or other nursing leadership strongly preferred.

Department/Position Overview:

2 West is a 34-bed medicine unit with a primary cardiac focus. Our team works with hospitalists and cardiologists to care for the congestive heart failure, angina, STEMI/NSTEMI and arrhythmia patients. We recover patients who have just undergone cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ablations, and cardioversions.

Aside from the awesome care we provide, we have an amazing and diverse team of nurses and nursing care partners. We are committed to excellent patient care and patient satisfaction. We work well together as a team to take care of our patients, but also have fun and take care of each other. 2 West is a work of HEART and we would love for you to join our work family!

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
