Taco John's International, Inc.is looking for a motivated Restaurant Technology Manager (office-based) at our new St. Louis Park Restaurant Support Center. This position supports the management and execution of all technology at the restaurant level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists with the communication of new services, systems, tools, tips, technology, products and procedures to system.
  • Coordinates and manages the completion, updating and distribution of assigned projects.
  • Monitors and controls expenses within established budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for the training and use of the restaurant POS and back-office solution through the field team, restaurant managers and franchisees.
  • Responsible for the implementation and use of recommended restaurant operating technologies.
  • Coordinate all inventory items, new menu items, recipes, abbreviations, costing information, PLUs, drive-thru timer/speed of service data and all other pertinent information is up to date.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to register programming and data collection methods.
  • Responsible for configuring assigned restaurant technologies to align with business and operational execution goals, while maintaining data quality and appropriate integration to backend systems, restaurant operations, and future technologies.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless restaurant execution and great guest experiences and provides relevant technical support to the restaurants and internal teams.
  • As an expert in assigned technologies, provides recommendations to the business and stakeholders on how restaurant technologies should be configured, and stays current with system information, changes, updates and supports maintenance of the product roadmap.
  • Executes regular product configuration needs:
  • These can include, but are not limited to, menu configuration and builds, recipe builds and maintenance, user access, hierarchy and data structure maintenance, item routing, order timing, and ongoing product updates
  • Provides ongoing restaurant level support to resolve issues with assigned technology products and tracks systemic trends to proactively identify potential issues.
  • Manages and resolves assigned support tickets and issues.
  • Proactively maintains and documents knowledge of systems, use cases, and data flows related to assigned restaurant technology products.
  • Adheres to all PCI standards and security protocols as it pertains to assigned technology products, and other company policies.

The successful candidate will have:

3 years' experience working with restaurant technology or restaurant operations, support for point-of-sale systems and equipment. Experience with a chain restaurant brand a plus. Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required. Ability to troubleshoot technology issues for immediate and long-term effect desired. Strong vendor and partner relationship manager skills critical. Knowledge of front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house systems, OLO and DecisionLogic a plus. Motivated Self-Starter
