Job description

We are looking for energetic, professional servers for a busy Hoboken restaurant. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous serving experience in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.

Server responsibilities include knowledge of the menu in order to make suggestions and accommodate modifications and allergy requests, taking food and drink orders accurately and serving them in a timely manner, anticipating guests needs to provide an enjoyable experience, properly clearing and cleaning table between uses, collecting payments from guests, and overall working with all staff to facilitate service.

Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. If you are interested in joining a great team and think you have what it takes, we would love to meet you! Hourly rate is $5.20 an hour plus tips. Depending on how many shifts, servers make over 1000 dollars per week. Hoboken ABC bar card is required for this position.

Qualifications include:

• Previous restaurant setting experience
• Basic wine, beer, and liquor knowledge
• Basic food safety and food allergy knowledge
• The willingness to take initiative and be a team player
• Having excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• High level of stamina to work feet for extended periods and the ability to do some moderate lifting'
