Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Respiratory Therapy Director, you will have oversight responsibility for the day to day management of Respiratory Care, Sleep, and EEG. This will include, but not be limited to, training, education, quality assurance, quality control, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, assisting in staffing and budgetary matters, scheduling, time keeping, maintaining the blood gas laboratory and machines, and evaluation and discipline of staff.


What you will do in this role:

  • As the Director, you shall act in accordance with the ISERVE and the Code of Conduct approach in all matters pertaining to Summit Medical Centerr, Tri-Star, and HCA, their communities of interest, and customers at all levels.
  • You will be expected to Nurture and Display the “Legacy of Dr. Frist Sr.” in making patient and employee decisions.
  • In this role, you will meet mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the Performance Management Plan.
  • You will meet goals as established along the Studer framework.


What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), current
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy preferred.

  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

  • Masters Preferred
  • Five years of experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.

  • Preferred current license by the State of Tennessee as a Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (LRRT)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
