Position: Residential Youth Counselor

Compensation: Up to $20/Hr, free farm to table meals & excellent benefits!

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Mountain Valley Treatment Center is a private residential treatment program for children and adolescents from around the country that struggle with anxiety. Residential Youth Counselors provide afternoon to evening programming, supervision and support, working with residents through daily programming such as adventure programming, creative arts, community service, life skills, and taking care of our own animals including sheep, steer, and chickens. Complete regular documentation and assigned shift reports and medication administration as needed.

Shift Schedule:

• Sunday 8:00 AM - 10:30 PM
• Monday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Tuesday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wednesday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

OR

• Wednesday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Thursday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Friday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Saturday 8:00 AM - 10:30 PM

Minimum Qualifications:
You must meet ONE of these requirements:

• An Associate Degree or higher degree with at least 12 credits in the field of human services, psychology, therapeutic recreation, education, or related field.
• Or the equivalent of 2 years of full-time experience working with children.
• Or any combination of credits in human services & experience with children that totals 2 years.
• Or 7 years of parenting experience.

Our residential staff schedules are designed to provide counselors with three days off a week. Your four workdays are on our idyllic campus in Plainfield, NH—a former five-star resort inn complete with climbing tower, adventure course, farm animals, and beautiful facilities.
