The Research Coordinator is a critical member of the Epidemiology Department and works closely with one or more Clinical Research Managers (CRM) to ensure the success of internal and client-facing projects. The Research Coordinator will work with CRMs to develop project timelines and develop metrics to track progress of projects. Key responsibilities are to update projects and accounts in our financial tracking system, organize and participate in client meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas and documenting discussion in minutes, inclusive of decisions and action items.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and excellent at communication and customer service. The ideal candidate will be proactive and effective at keeping the CRMs, the team and department leadership informed. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, relying on their curiosity, flexibility, and openness to change. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist CRM(s) with building internal and external timelines, monitor timelines, track progress,
  • Work with CRM(s) to track progress on projects with respect to contracts/budgets.
  • Work with CRM(s) to create and update projects and accounts in our financial tracking system (weekly)
  • Assist with documentation for invoicing, and to answer questions about billing with finance teams
  • Coordinate, prepare agendas, and document minutes at research meetings
  • Assist team with table or document formatting, or the preparation of slide decks, and as requested.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, either temporary or permanent based on company needs

Additional Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience, background in science or administration a plus
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects with shifting priorities
  • Must possess strong English communication, writing, and follow-up skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Must possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy
  • Demonstrates the tenacity to learn and adapt quickly
  • Has a strong work ethic and is comfortable under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfort-level with collaboration tools for communication and document sharing
  • Must be committed to developing professionally
  • Completion of Human Subjects Protection (HSP) training (provided by CorEvitas)
