Reliability Engineer

Amalgamated Sugar Company – Twin Falls, Idaho

Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Reliability Engineer at our Twin Falls factory in Twin Falls, Idaho. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Reliability Engineer is responsible for overall execution and leadership of the Reliability team in improving reliability performance of the equipment to world class standards. This role contributes to the success of the organization by improving the mechanical integrity of factory assets, cost management and Amalgamated’s Operations Excellence initiative through effective reliability program development and execution. The Reliability Engineer will lead the Reliability team as well as work closely with the operations, maintenance & safety teams, and be a key contributor to other factory and company initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Execute the factory’s reliability improvement plan which includes analyses of equipment failures by RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) methodologies and develop mitigating plans for corrective and preventative actions

· Conduct equipment assessments during maintenance and inspection opportunities for life expectancy evaluation and repair quality

· Ensure all critical equipment have optimal care plans developed

· Serve as an active member of Amalgamated’s Reliability team providing input for the development of Reliability Best Practices

· Institutionalize a reliability culture throughout the factory by communicating reliability goals, objectives, and results

· Following the appropriate training, be able to effectively use required JDE functionality to meet requirements of the position.

· Work directly with trade supervisors and planners to ensure appropriate content and detail provided for PM work orders

· Advanced working knowledge of CAM to facilitate the threats list program.

· Advanced working knowledge of CAM to facilitate the PM development program.

· Work with trade supervisors to ensure the Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (PM) tasks intervals are met and optimized.

· Participation in Amalgamated’s safety programs and factory safety culture. Reports all safety concerns and takes corrective action for a safety hazard identified that could impact themselves or others.

· Participation in functional focus groups and will provide cross function support for Reliability group initiatives

· Plant stake holder for applicable reliability programs; Condition monitoring, PM program, failure investigation, etc.

· Inter-campaign & outage scope development

· Perform KPI reports as it relates to reliability programs or other

· JDE CAM Admin & subject matter expert

· Factory level resource to support personnel CAM resolutions

· Execute assigned CAM reports and tasks

· Back-up Facility Quality Control Inspector (FQCI) to support Amalgamated Sugar’s R-Stamp Program

Qualifications:

· 2+ years relevant industrial manufacturing experience

· BS Engineering, mechanical preferred

· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving, and organization competencies and skills

· Ability to read, understand, and apply results from Preventative and Predictive Maintenance analyses through experience, training, or direction from a more knowledgeable source

· Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment and maintenance problems

· Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

· Working knowledge of computer use and computerized maintenance management systems (JDE Preferred, MS Office, Outlook)
