We are seeking a responsible, hard working and energetic individual who is licensed in Ohio as a Veterinary Technician with a passion for animal care to join our team at Mile Creek Animal Hospital. We pride ourselves on quality care by offering a wide variety of medical, surgical, and dental services.

Mile Creek Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary clinic located in Minster, Ohio that serves that surrounding communities of Auglaize, Mercer, and Shelby counties. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to perform basic animal handling and restraint in a low-stress and safe manner
• Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Perform radiographs
• Monitor recovery of surgery patients and communicate with owners per hospital policy.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Knowledge of vaccination guidelines within the hospital and administer vaccinations under the direction of the Veterinarian
• Fill prescriptions
• Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights as well as providing client education
• IV catheter placement
• Venipuncture

QUALIFICATIONS

• RVT Licensure in good standing to practice in Ohio
• Ability to work rotating weekends
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
