- The Registered Nurse Team Leader will provide comprehensive, competent, coordinated, and patient-centered care for the Dialysis unit.
- As a Registered Nurse Team Leader, you will serve as a resource for the dialysis staff.
- Performance of leadership activities will require at least 50% of total time; the remainder will be spent in assuming patient care roles in all areas supervised at a proficient level.
Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate Professional Nursing program is preferred.- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree or Diploma Professional Nursing program is required.
- 2 years of experience in Nephrology Nursing is required.
- Current NYS licensure and registration as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification is required.
- CDN or CNN is required within 2-year from date of hire.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Functions as clinical expert and role model.
- Works in close collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisors, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Demonstrates competency in the care of adult patients.
- Multi-tasking, prioritizing, versatility, and flexibility. Walking, standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
- Category I risk exposure as defined by OSHA. Must be able to identify and differentiate colors.
