Job Title: Registered Nurse NICU/Special Care Nursery RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated NICU/Special Care Nursery RN to join our team in Wenatchee, WA. In this role, you will provide basic and advanced nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU/Special Care Nursery department. You will also work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medications, treatments and procedures as ordered by Physicians
- Assess and document patient progress and responses to treatments
- Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, respiratory function, and neurological status of patients
- Provide patient and family education about neonatal care and disease prevention
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Collaborate with medical team members to ensure effective patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure patient safety at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Washington RN license
- At least 1 year of NICU/Special Care Nursery RN experience
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Knowledge and experience in caring for neonates, including assessment, monitoring, and interventions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
