The Registered Nurse, Emergency Department will work Per Diem, Various Shift & Weekends and will triage patients using the ESI severity index Care of emergent and non-emergent patients and provide Head-to-toe assessments.
- The Registered Nurse will have knowledge of normal vs. abnormal findings and reporting of abnormal findings to provider Phlebotomy and IV skills.
- The Registered Nurse should use critical thinking to intervene with appropriate intervention for urgent/emergent care.
- The Registered Nurse will provide care of acute and chronically ill patients from newborns to geriatrics.
- The Registered Nurse should have knowledge of hemodynamics.
- The Registered Nurse will identify and manage life-sustaining physiologic functions in unstable patients.
- The Registered Nurse maintains compliance in regard to policies, procedures and standards of practice.
- The Registered Nurse remains compliant with annual education, competencies and validations as required.
- The Registered Nurse will work with other departments to ensure smooth continuity of care for patients.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum one year license and one-year acute care experience in a hospital setting
- Current RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Current TNCC and ENPC strongly preferred or willingness to obtain required.
