Seeking: A full-time licensed RN to join our IDD Medicaid provider agency based in Wilson but provide service and influence in our surrounding corporate sites.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 8 years of experience as an RN required.
  • Weekly Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to locations 30-45 minutes from Wilson office (locations include but not limited to Wilson, Goldsboro, Rocky Mount).
  • Monthly Travel: Ability and willingness to travel to locations up to 2 hours from Wilson office (locations include but not limited to Jacksonville and Wilmington).
  • Strong assessment skills, the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong knowledge of medications, electronic MAR's, and prescriptions.
  • Self-motivated, excellent problem solver, and initiative to follow up.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer skills such as: learning and navigating a variety of websites and project management systems, manipulating data in Excel, creating Word documents, etc.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in hospital settings and/or home health is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental, physical, and/or mental disabilities is a plus.

About This Position:

  • Contribute relevant oversight to our various client services such as our day programs, group homes, and our individual family homes (AFL's).
  • Provide instruction on medication administration, G-tube medication and feedings, skin care, blood sugar check off, and diabetic education.
  • On occasion, provide nutritional guidance as needed.
  • Initiate clinical assessments on new AFL consumers, and quarterly assessments on our medically fragile consumers.
  • Required home visits and frequent calls to MD offices and pharmacies.
  • Position will be based in Wilson but will travel approximately once a week to other corporate offices in Smithfield, Goldsboro, Clinton, and Rocky Mount.
  • Responsible for obtaining copies of scripts for approximately 30 consumers.
  • Training company staff on best practices and required processes involving G-tube, blood-sugar testing, medication administration, and weekly SQ injections.
