- All aspects of maintaining existing personal lines policies including but not limited to any changes, adjustments in coverage, etc.
- Ensure all customers are educated regarding any questions they might have about their policies.
- Maintain all transactions, conversations, etc. promptly in AMS360
- Be sure AMS360 is continuously updated
- Solve client issues, elevate an issue when appropriate
- Review all existing policies prior to their x-date to be sure there are no major changes in the customer’s needs and that they are receiving the best value for their needs.
- Rewrite non renewals and cancellations when necessary
- Handle underwriting requests on established policies
- Cross sell current customers, home, no auto, etc.
- Quote and write overflow of new business
- Answer client questions promptly via phone or in person
- Motivation to look for more efficient processes.
- Apply payments
- Greet and assist clients, customers, and guests in a professional and courteous way.
- Answer the multi – line phone promptly, screening and routing calls accurately, take messages when necessary.
- Follow up on any inquiries, via phone or in person.
- Deliver correspondence such as mail or faxes to appropriate party/department.
- Continuously collect outgoing mail throughout the day, and prepare for postal service pick up.
- Accurately receive client payments over the phone or in person.
- Maintain office supply inventory.
- Provide clerical assistance as assigned.
- 1 – 3 years of Administrative experience required
- 1 – 3 years of Customer Service experience required
- Insurance agency experience preferred
- Ability to use menu-driven software, agency management system and insurance carrier websites in addition to Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in problem solving with office equipment (copier, fax, postage machine, etc.)
- Very bright, positive attitude, as the face of the office for all visitors to NuVantage
- Team player
