Receiving Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR SUMMARY:

As a Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for properly receiving items including unloading and storing products. This individual will be maintaining data base of inventory and finished products. Your job will be to compare the numbers of items in each shipment to the shipping invoices to verify product inventory. You may also be responsible for inspecting incoming or outgoing shipments for potential damages and other issues to ensure shipment quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods.
• Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
• Operate forklift to unload products.
• Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the internal software.
• Organize the entry and withdrawal of materials and products from the warehouse.
• Scan orders into computer and track shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma required; additional education is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Good at math and detail oriented to keep the inventory data base updated.
• Great organizational and planning skills to manage multiple orders at the same time.
• Curiosity and initiative to find new ways of thinking to improve projects and company performance.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
