Job Description

We are looking for a receiving clerk to accept and process deliveries. The receiving clerk's responsibilities include verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns.

To be successful as a receiving clerk you should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items. Ultimately, a top receiving clerk should be able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

***This is a position that REQUIRES strong computer and clerical skills. Fork-lift operation is a bonus, but data-entry and clerical skills are a MUST.***

Responsibilities

• Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods
• Assuring no damaged items are received
• Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
• Collaborating with the purchasing department to develop a schedule to receive shipments of goods
• Updating product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory
• Cycle-counting various inventory daily
• Assisting with pulling and issuing sinks and other consumable items to installers
• Tagging slabs and remnants

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves daily exposure to elements, such as dirt, dust, and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures.
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, and chemical hazards.
• Position requires the ability to stand, sitting frequently at a desk, walking around office and warehouse, lifting, and carrying packages up to 50 pounds, utilizing fine dexterity, and reaching and kneeling on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.

Schedule

· Monday-Friday

· 8am-5pm during training

· ***Hours may change to 7am-4pm after successful completion of training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
