Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, like you, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients for our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena, San Marino and the Hancock Park neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area.

Requirements:

• 
  Masters or Doctorate Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, psychology or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of four (4) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable license.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Required to come in once a week or as needed for in person tasks.
• Good written and verbal skills as email and telephone will be the main communication avenue between other virtual team members.

  Job Description: The Case Manager for Reasons is responsible for managing the treatment activities offered to the Reasons patients, which may include the appropriate clinical screening and information gathering of potential admissions, establishment of treatment plans, interface with the treatment team/external case managers/managed care organizations and implementation and supervision and/or accomplishes all aspects of the discharge planning process. Utilization review and initial authorizations, interdisciplinary communication with outside providers regarding lab orders, medical needs, vitals and medication orders. Ensuring patients’ weekly compliance with Psychiatrist Appointments with our Medical Director, Chart auditing upon discharge of a patient. Data entry, tracking patent attendance and Discharge Planning. Facilitating auditing charts through EMR (electronic medical records) System ensuring admission and discharge documents are completed. To record hours worked, hours will be documented manually on a timesheet that is sent to a Supervisor for approval.
