We are seeking a senior tax accountant to support the Reef parent company with a specific focus on the real estate development arm at our Alpine, UT location. This position will assist in the accounting for a nationwide portfolio of commercial real estate loans. We give our staff autonomy over how specific job responsibilities are fulfilled, recognizing that there are usually multiple working styles that may achieve a desired result. The position will start with a short evaluation period, beginning with a three-month training. Goals for growth will be set for subsequent quarters. There will be quarterly meetings for feedback and evaluation for and from you. Our goal is to steadily increase responsibility as capability/familiarity increases. Performance will be primarily measured by Reef K1s being completed by March 31st, and assisting in completing audit valuations by October 31st

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and preparing tax returns for about 40 real estate LLCs
• Coordinating with tax firm on the preparation of more complicated real estate LLCs and providing needed information
• Assisting with and reviewing the books for all real estate LLCs in preparation for tax returns
• Managing real estate LLC waterfalls and assisting with annual audit valuations
• Assisting in tax strategy to identify advantageous deductions/credits for Reef's investors and real estate LLCs
• Performing tax and accounting research

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
