- Access to reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage

- Ability to operate computer equipment; knowledge of various software packages including Office Windows applications 2007 and above

- Previous direct or related experience

This Day Service Associate / Direct Support Professional (DSP) position earns a competitive starting wage of $15/hour-$16.50/hour that can increase quickly with raises for completing notes and training. A Day in the Life as a Day Service Associate
As a Day Service Associate no two days will ever be the same. Your work will fall in 1 of 3 categories throughout the day: Group Staff, 1:1 Staff, or Support Staff. Our Day Service Associates receive over 40 hours of training initially and 8+ hours of annual training in topics such as Active Treatment, Cultural Competency, Back Safety and Safe Lifting, Crisis Management, Disability Awareness, and more.
As a Group Staff you will lead groups through discussion and different projects of varying topics like Art, Exercise & Wellness, Cooking, Science, Music, Community Inclusion, and more. You will accomplish this by bringing your own ideas and creativity together with pre-made curriculum and resources to engage participants during their group block.
As a 1:1 staff you will work with 1 or 2 participants on specific skills or routines both independently and as part of a group. Participants working with 1:1 staff need additional support either medically or behaviorally to be successful in programming.
Staff assigned in Support Categories are scheduled to support the program as a whole, this could be providing breaks for others, aiding in Personal Care and/or Range of Motion, cleaning and more.

Schedule
Day Service Associates are scheduled between 10-40 hours per week depending on their status. Day Services currently operates M-F with shifts starting as early as 7:30am and going as late as 6pm. Scheduling is flexible and operates in shifts ranging from 2 hours to 9 hours long.
