Overview:

Fort Worth Renal Group is seeking a Rad Tech to serve as part of tour team providing support to our physicians and vascular procedures lab in Fort Worth. This position is based out of our new office and vascular center located just south of downtown in the medical district. At FWRG, we provide the highest level of comprehensive kidney care for our communities in downtown Fort Worth, Keller, Southwest Fort Worth and surrounding areas. We believe in physician-patient partnership and delivery of exceptional patient centered, personalized care across all service lines. About the Job:

¨ A minimum of 1 year in a radiology technician position

¨ High school diploma or equivalent

¨ Certified Rad Tech certificate

¨ BLS-Current; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of employment

¨ Ability to manage all forms of communications at various levels

¨ Proficient in Microsoft Office application

¨ Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Follow instructions from Physicians
  • Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety
  • Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient
  • Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding
  • Keep good patient records
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment

¨ Taking direct orders from interventional physician

¨ Transports patients in and out of the procedure room

¨ Keep accurate records throughout the procedure

¨ Disposes trash properly

¨ Regularly assists co-workers as needed. Utilizes resources in a manner, which reflects an understanding of proper stewardship

¨ Complies and enforces all policies and procedures related to the position, the department and the company.

¨ Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.

¨ Adheres to organizational policy with attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.

¨ Complete other duties as assigned.

Continuing Education:

¨ Attends in-service and continuing education programs required for maintenance of professional certification or licensure.

¨ Attends continuing education programs as necessary.

Physical Demands:

¨ Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing and verbally in conversation with different levels of staff, patients, patient families and any outside customers.

¨ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
