About Our Team

The Defect Prevention / Reliability department provides support for and advocacy of engineering standard methodologies that manage cost and time effective product realization for MESA's microelectronic and electronic products using a layered, defect prevention strategy and lean six sigma tools. The defect prevention strategy is used to detect and remove defects at every phase of product realization. The lean six sigma tools are used to remove complexity from existing processes, a major source of defect generation, as well as waste.

During product design, development, and qualification we use a detailed framework to lead requirements and configuration documentation, ensure the team's project plan includes activities and work needed for final product acceptance, verify and validate the robustness of the design, assembly, and test processes to meet requirements and customer expectations, and optimize the transition of the design to production.

Throughout product manufacturing and production, we collaborate with process owners, supplier quality engineers, and product acceptance inspectors to provide verification and documented evidence that the product and critical manufacturing processes meet the design intent and to minimize the costs of nonconformance (scrap, rework, etc.)
