Our Synthetic Data Group is looking for experienced Character Generalist to develop high fidelity 3D synthetic data for developing real-time on-device Computer Vision and Machine Perception technologies across products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment and will excel in a multi-functional team addressing both immediate creative and technical needs and providing long term solutions. Key Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of high fidelity asset development techniques for games, film, VFX, VR, AR, and MR experiences
• Proficiency in multiple applications like Maya, Vray, Substance, Houdini or others
• Diverse capabilities in 3D character modeling, scans, texturing, shading, look dev, lighting, rendering, scripting, and material calibration
• Experience with rigging, skinning, and blend shape deformation rigs Experience animating characters manually, animation clean up, ingesting, and applying motion capture animation
• Cloth and hair simulation experience
• Experience with offline rendering and realtime game engines
• Ability to deliver high-visual quality within performance constraints
• Experience working with external teams, documentation, and training others
• Knowledgeable of Python, Mac OS, and Windows

Description

As a Character Generalist in this role, you will focus on improving the visual quality and development of 3D characters used to train computer vision and machine learning algorithms through modeling, animating, rigging, and innovative solutions. You have creative and technical experience that can push visual boundaries, and develop new methodologies for solving complex synthetic data content challenges for offline and real time environments. We work with internal and external teams developing synthetic data content for computer vision and machine learning technologies, and you'll be working with them to bring our vision to life.

Additional experience

• Developing synthetic data content for machine learning, and computer vision
• A solid understanding of the principles of animation, body mechanics, and facial animation
• Experience creating digital doubles
• Problem solving and troubleshooting in a technical environment
• Experienced working in a QA/testing environment and identifying solutions to maximize quality
• Desire to procedurally generate content without sacrificing artistic integrity
• Ability to identify opportunities for visual, workflow, and efficiency improvements
• Ability to work quickly and flexibly in a prototyping environment
• Ability to lead small initiatives without significant oversight
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Education Bachelors or Master in Computer Arts or equivalent experience
