An Automotive Parts Manufacturer is currently looking for a full-time Quality Technician to join their facility by the Decatur, IN area. This is a full-time, direct hire position with an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities Include:

• Inspection, testing, and final quality assurance of finished products, ensuring compliance to company, customer, and governmental standards
• Assist with analysis of defective parts and development of issue resolutions and prevention plans
• Review blueprints and specifications to ensure consistency of product quality
• Creation of quality documentation and inspection reports for upper management
• Operate and maintain inspection equipment
• Assist with preparations for quality audits and process improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Technician Requirements Include:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with PPAP / APQP, ISO, and IATF-16949 requirements preferred, as well as knowledge of other industrial and governmental standards
• Technical-minded with strong analytical ability and time-management skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with colleagues in a multicultural environment
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
