Job Description:
This is entry level for new hires and transferring employees into the department. Successful candidates will be able to effectively communicate with all co-workers while multitasking and adapting quickly with new technology measurement equipment is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performance Testing and Inspection of Blades
  • Able to support & maintain through detailed prioritized scheduling, a constant flow through the lab(s) by demonstrating a clear working relationship with laboratory personnel & leadership.
  • Set up and maintain files and records per requirements.
* Set up and operation of Bridgeport to perform testing on tempered hole saws. * Set up to accurately inspect hole saw tooth damage.
  • Set up and operation of Durability Fixture to perform testing on tempered blades.
  • Set up to accurately inspect tempered blade tooth damage.
* Set up and operation of Nails Only fixture to perform testing on tempered blades. *
Set up to accurately inspect tempered tooth damage.
  • Set up and operation of Bend Testing fixture to perform testing on tempered blades.
* Set up and operation of Diablo Demo fixture to perform testing on carbide blades. * Set up to accurately inspect carbide tooth damage.
  • Set up and operation of Unistrut and Stainless steel fixture to perform testing on carbide blades.
  • Set up to accurately inspect carbide tooth damage.
  • Set up and operation of Weld Strength fixture to perform testing on tempered hole saws.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly on all matters involving performance testing.
  • Take appropriate corrective action for continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction including NCR databases for non-conforming product.
  • Know and practice the 5S's for industrial housekeeping.
  • Operate tools, presses and equipment properly and adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
  • Participate in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and prevent process and product nonconformities.
  • Measure and analyze key quality performance data.
  • Take initiative and responsibility for needed actions to support quality and business goals.
  • Help to define, develop, and maintain quality information records.
  • Must work effectively in team environments, communicating and participating in a constructive manner.
  • Provide Quality support through, capability studies, Gage R&R, , testing, control plans, and other quality tools to aid in quality assurance of mfg. processes.
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
  • Identify and isolate product that does not meet standards. Assist with Sorting on hold products.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
  • Able to interpret technical data, including drawings and schematics, accurately.
  • Must be proficient in the use of common inspection and test equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required.
  • Must be cross-trained in all areas of the department. Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School or GED diploma.
