A Snapshot of Your Day

You will work in a dynamic fast passed manufacturing environment working on various technical products. The day will start off attending a Gemba meeting to understand project status and obstacles for the day. Can go from performing a root cause analysis for a manufacturing defect to supporting a new product qualification.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Ensures manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions, MIs, job briefings etc.

• Detects and tracks non-conformances and lead the process of root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measure definition

• Develops and implements product-specific manufacturing processes and tooling, utilizing sound engineering judgment and methodologies

• Ensures safety and quality requirements are met during component manufacturing to internal and customer requirements

• Perform process audits and runs continuous improvement projects

• Support the Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine service business is all quality aspects

What You Bring

• Technical Degree required preferably in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering – equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

• 2+ years related work experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.

• Ability to apply continuous improvement methods to increase manufacturing quality, efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness

• Candidate should be familiar with Lean and or Six Sigma philosophies and their application in process capability and improvement

• Highly motivated to adapt to and/or improve dynamic and complex manufacturing processes

• Effective communication skills both oral and written will be highly valued

• MRP experience is preferred – SAP experience is emphasized

• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
