Summary/Description

The Quality Manager will be responsible for effective QM systems regarding product portfolio, current production programs and new program launches. Maintaining and improving effective internal and external standards and Customer requirements such as IATF 16949, 14001, 18001, VDA. Extensive travel expected to the plant in Oklahoma.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Own and drive an effective Quality Management System and maintain certifications to IATF 16949, VDA and ASPICE.

· Know and implement all customer specific requirements.

· Monitor customer portals, internal quality performance and customer warranty performance against KPI’s.

· Driver and coordinator for internal quality system audits and corresponding corrective action and improvement activities internal and to the Customer.

· Administrator direct supervisory responsibility for the plant quality department team included, selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations and work schedule.

· Lead the quality activities at the manufacturing plant.

· Review and administer adherence to advanced quality planning activities, elements, and schedules via internal audits and product realization gate reviews by compliance to APQP and PPAP activities.

· Lead the problem-solving activities at the Customer, internal and in support of the suppliers to find the root cause and drive permanent corrective action.

· Reviewing quality action plans internally and with suppliers for timely completion and effectiveness.

· Ensure the purchase product in process or finished, is inspected according to the procedures established in the QMS.

· Track the QMS required quality metrics and develop action plans to achieve green metrics.

· Work closely with other managers to address the day-to-day problems and opportunities to review and improve product and process quality.

· Acting member of the manufacturing leadership team and supporting monthly, quarterly, annual reviews and budget setting requirements

Experience

· 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry.

· Working knowledge of the automotive industry, customer specifications, customer web sites and requirements and training or knowledge of ISO/IATF 16949 requirements.

· Comprehensive knowledge of implementing and maintaining QM systems and its auditing/assessment internal and external dealing suppliers and customers.

· Performing Audits/Assessments.

· Root Cause Analysis and Problem Resolution Knowledge.

· Excellent knowledge in effective quality standards within the automotive industry.

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science Degree is required with strong preference in quality, mechanical or manufacturing engineering area

· Green Belt at a minimum

· Lead auditor certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
