Overview: The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance for all Allegheny Coatings Fremont operations. This is achieved through successful implementation and maintenance of Quality Systems (in compliance with ISO 9001) and in Quality Assurance practices for customer programs.
Position Location: Fremont, IN; Some travel may be required (Up to 10%)
Direct Manager: General Manager
Responsibilities & Activities:
1. Quality Systems
- Develop, implement and maintain quality system documentation to ensure the highest level of compliance to ISO 9001 – 2015 or other regulatory systems adopted by the company.Schedule, oversee, and review internal audits
- Lead all external audits and related corrective actions
- Maintain all necessary internal records, ensuring appropriate document control procedures
- Prepare monthly quality reports (rework, cost of quality, on-time, customer satisfaction and all other quality performance data)
2. Quality Assurance
- Internal Audits & Control Plans
- Customer Documentation and Approvals (PPAPs, etc.)
- Coating Material Oversight
- Customer Interface
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the General Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in engineering, quality, or relevant discipline
- 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering / Quality Control with specific expertise in ISO 9001 QMS
- 5+ years Experience Direct Customer Interface
- 3+ years direct Personnel Management experience
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Direct experience participating in ISO Quality Audit preparation and completion
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Willingness to travel, up to 10% of total time
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 QMS
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Project Management experience
