SUMMARY: Working closely with the Senior Quality Manager and Inventory & Logistics Senior Manager, the Quality & Logistics Support Assistant will provide operational support to ensure continued success of the Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to learn and step into the “behind-the-scenes” workings of the wine industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and maintain physical and digital documents required for Supplier Qualification Program, as well as product approvals and regular requalification of additives and wine treating materials for TDP
• Assist in managing digital Document Control System for the Supply Chain team
• Help maintain log of QC issues in finished wines
• Support the Supply Chain team by ensuring packaging specifications are met through incoming materials Quality Control
• Assist the Senior Quality Manager in coordinating tasting trials throughout the portfolio
• Help coordinate the delivery schedules of packaging materials from Biagi warehouse to various bottling sites, including transfer order entries and scheduling trucks
• Support Inventory & Logistics Senior Manager with scheduling in-bound and out-bound trucks; assist in fielding transfer requests and create transfers in NAV
• Assist with production of case end labels and pallet tags for off-site production and rework projects
• Assist with handling, tracking, and dispositioning of possible damaged finished goods at third-party warehouses; deliver wines designated to DTC to tasting rooms when applicable
• Become a reliable liaison between TDP and third-party warehouse teams as needed
• Collaborate with Product Master Data Manager to identify item codes that need to be created in third party warehouse portals and create new entries when needed
• Deliver sample requests and small transfers between production sites, Biagi warehouse, Wine Services Co-Op, TDP tasting rooms, and various vendors
• Work with warehouses on rework projects by tracking progress, prioritizing work orders, label printing, and fielding quality specification questions
• Work with Senior Quality Manager and Inventory & Logistics Senior Manager to keep Non-Conforming Product Hold Log updated by tracking progress of rework projects and confirming that all product holds have an associated rework work order created for disposition
• Fill in with basic tasks and email responses during absence of Senior Quality Manager or Inventory & Logistics Senior Manager
• Perform other miscellaneous tasks and special projects as directed by management

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to travel to all TDP facilities and production locations, third party warehouses, and vendors when needed with valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation
• Minimum education: high school diploma
• At least 2 years of winery experience, either in production, the laboratory, wholesale, and/or tasting room and hospitality
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc)
• Experience with Microsoft NAV and Visio a plus
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Must be a team player, be open to suggestions, and able to collaborate with others across the company at all levels
• Maintain a pleasant, courteous, and curious disposition with an ingrained sincerity to solve problems, offer solutions, and drive changes within the organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel and crouch
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Occasionally be able to lift and/or carry a case of wine (~40lbs)
