Position Summary

Perform visual and mechanical inspection of a variety of incoming goods, work in process, finished products and completion of related paperwork in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.


Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and visual inspection, including layout of components, to verify drawing acceptance.
  • Troubleshoot in collaboration with manufacturing, supplier quality, and design engineering to resolve problems.
  • Process and inspect paper work related to the product in order to move it to the next operation or inventory.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
  • High School Graduate or equivalent; Technical degree a plus.
  • Experience reading blueprints; electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics a plus.
  • Experience inspecting and measuring parts using various measuring devices, gauging methodology and quality procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.
  • Meet vision requirements including near and distance vision.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require frequent walking primarily on a level surface. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to move materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 35 pounds. May include frequent pulling, pushing, and grasping.
  • The primary environment of this position is the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and proper footwear.
