Job Description

Position Summary:

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MRB and initiate investigation of root cause and corrective actions (internally/externally).
  • Manage and monitor the nonconforming material inventory to assure containment, disposition, and release with the required
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide root cause resolution to meet the corporate the mandatory 48-hour response time for root cause and corrective actions.
  • Analyze and provide response to the customer escapes through 8Ds (AS13000).
  • Assist quality manager with customer return product (RMAs) for proper disposition and analysis of non-conformances.
  • Perform SOX audits as a tester.
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Work directly with Quality Director and/Quality Manager to prepare training materials on quality related subjects.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of document control procedures and work instructions.
  • Facilitate the initiation of and monitor workflows for review and approval of controlled documents.
  • Perform regular audits (Internal & Externals, Including Suppliers) of controlled documents and report deficiencies to document owners.
  • Assist Quality Manager and/or Designated QE with Customer System & Product Audits

Experience & Education

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five years’ experience as a Quality Engineer. Training in the forging industry is desired, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Non-destructive testing background preferred.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $78,800 to $118,200 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
