Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary:

Designs, conducts and coordinates quality assurance and improvement activities; works collaboratively with the medical staff, nursing and ancillary staff, and facility leadership to establish effective methods of quality improvement, measurement, and evaluation of data. Creates, facilitates, and implements projects and activities designed to improve compliance with The Joint Commission’s standards as well as those of other accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies. This position coordinates and facilitates Medical Staff Quality Review, which includes case review, physician and physician specific tracking, trending and reporting of case review, as well as mortality and complication reviews. This position also will be responsible for the abstraction and analysis of mandatory outcome measures, as necessary. Must possess excellent organizational skills and knowledge of computer systems.

What qualifications you will need:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

California RN license, in good standing, required. BSN degree, required. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting, required. CPHQ Certification preferred. MSN, preferred. Quality experience preferred.
