Quality Control Inspector - Immediate Need - Day and Night Shift

Express Employment Professionals has an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector Day and Night shifts available. Our client is a one-stop-shop for all machining needs located in Elk River, MN and are experts in CNC turning processes for cutting, facing, turning, threading, drilling, knurling, and boring.

A Machine Shop Quality Control Inspector is expected to execute various inspection and quality control duties. These duties will include but are not limited to dimension validation and documenting and reporting observations/conformance results.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform visual inspections on components.
• Perform dimensional inspections on components using precision measuring equipment.
• Interpret and use complex mechanical drawings for inspection.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports.
• Assure measuring equipment is maintained in good condition and properly stored.
• Setup, adjust, and check measuring equipment.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Applicants must be detail oriented.
• Previous experience working for a quality department is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a machine shop environment is preferred
• Proficient with mechanical measurement tools, such as: micrometers, calipers, gages, indicators, etc.
• Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings.

Day & Night shift position starting at $ 20-30 an hour depending on experience.

• Day Shift: 6:00am to 4:30pm
• Night Shift: 4:30pm to 3:00am

Temp to hire position with an opportunity to create a fulltime employment.
