Warnock Foods located in Madera, CA is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. This position would be responsible for the Supvervisory of the quality assurance and sanitation functions to ensure all products meet established Company quality standards, all sanitation policies and procedures are followed to meet Company sanitation standards and plant complies with all federal, state, and local regulations including food safety, labeling, hygiene, sanitation, training, and safety.

Some of the requirements are listed below:

College degree preferred

5+ years of experience in managing food production or FDA regulated industry preferred

Knowledge and experience with SQF and HACCP

SQF Practitioner Certification preferred

Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operation management.

Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to achieve organizational goals.

Excellent time management skills with strong ability to lead, plan, and manage change and culture.

Experience with equipment and facility planning and implementation.

Coach and develop subordinates to achieve key performance measures of Safety (personal and food), Service, Quality and Cost.

Ensure all Company policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.

Responsible for all Quality/Sanitation processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of production area to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsible for management of the Sanitation Department to ensure facility complies with all local, state and federal regulations and Company standards for sanitation are met or exceeded.

Responsible for supervision of sanitation employees to ensure all sanitation procedures are followed.

Responsible for design, implementation and monitoring the Pest Control program to ensure all regulatory requirements are met and documentation is maintained

Monitors and summarizes qualitative and quantitative analysis of finished product to ensure products meet the Company’s specifications that include net weight analysis & control charting; product quality analysis for color, flavor, odor, appearance, texture, defects, size, etc.; product style verification; case marking verification; proper lot number/date code placement & legibility; package integrity testing; milling moistures and sieve analysis.

Establishes and implements procedures for food safety in the areas of production, warehouse, packaging, maintenance, and hygiene/sanitation as required and/or recommended by FDA, HACCP, GMP, and state regulations.

Maintain product quality and food safety by ensuring plant leadership sustains quality systems. (HACCP, SQF, SOPs, GMPs)

Maintains documentation as required to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and records of inspections implemented for compliance with food safety regulations. Maintains site certifications for identification and processing of identity preserved products (e.g. non-GMO, Organic, Gluten-Free, etc.).

Ensures all established analytical methods, policies, rules, and regulations related to quality assurance are followed and required forms are completed and submitted within prescribed times.

Conducts inspections and monitors production and warehousing processes to ensure quality standards are met and provides guidance for correction of deficiencies.

Conducts required meetings with employees to ensure employees are properly informed on all information related to quality, production, safety and other Company issues.

Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure staffing is adequate and policies and procedures are followed.

Coordinates with maintenance, sanitation and other departments to ensure production is continuous and efficient and meets all Company expectations for quality.

Responsible for staff development and implementation of programs to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of Sanitation and Quality department.

Responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate records for employee attendance, payroll and production performance on a timely basis.

Responsible for participating in assigned training and implementation programs related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; serving on food safety auditing and compliance committees and monitoring employee work practices to ensure that all food safety guidelines and procedures are followed.

Serves as Food Safety Decision Maker and makes decisions related to food safety within prescribed company policies and procedures and in compliance with all federal and state regulations that will ensure consumer safety.

Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.

Works all shifts as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Monitors solid waste and wastewater programs

Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.

Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager.

Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.

Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.

Maintains good communication with other managers, staff & outside contacts.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
