Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and is part of the Quality Assurance team in the Behavioral Health Services Commission and Community Integration Division. Assists behavioral health services with activities as it relates to quality assurance, Evidence-Based Practices (EBP), and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) implementation.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Quality Assurance Oversite
Monitor and propose measures to correct or improve KDADS implementation of the CCBHC model across all Community Mental Health Agencies in Kansas.
Identify and resolve any workflow or production issues to the CCBHC implementation in Kansas.
Document quality assurance activities for all CCBHCs and create audit reports.
Assist in fidelity reviews with one or two other reviewers. Participates in consensus scoring and writing fidelity reports. With agency staff members, develops action plans for improved fidelity.
Review and provide relevant feedback on Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans submitted by CCBHCs following a Fidelity Review.
Assist in the identification of training needs for CCBHCs and their implementation of the model or EBPs associated with CCBHC requirements.
Assist in the creation of training materials and operating manuals for CCBHC in Kansas.
State Leadership
Provides leadership at state/regional level for Quality Assurance for CCBHC implementation.
Compile and present quarterly data reports, as needed, for CCBHC implementation across the state. Including quality audit reports.
Make recommendations for improvement by enduring that standards and safety regulations are accurate and comply with state and federal guidelines.
Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring that agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. This position will also be available to troubleshoot high risk cases that are needing assistance through the KDADS front desk referral system.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to program management.
High School Diploma with 2 years’ experience in an office environment.
High level of organization and attention to details.
Knowledge and passion for mental health (particularly of mental health system in Kansas).
Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or budgeting.
Travel up to 35%.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience working in the contextual framework of Community Integration.
Federal, state and/or local project grants management and implementation experience.
Lived Experience of Any Mental Illness.
Experience in working with diverse stakeholder groups or committees
Working knowledge of community behavioral health services for adults with severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Leadership experience and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Experience interacting with public health and social service professionals, administrators, and state officials
Master’s degree in business or related human services field
