Summary: Quality Assurance Engineer – Dallas - Onsite - $80-90K

As a QA Engineer, you will become part of our Quality Assurance Team in an effort to oversee and ensure assigned internal and customer deliverables meet exceptional quality standards. As part of this team, you will contribute to improving the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of all processes utilized from test design to test execution to reporting of results. Additionally, you'll be evaluating complex issues, isolating variables, and determining the best way to test a product for quick and efficient failure detection. All deliverables such as test plans, data collection, and results must be reviewed by the QA Team to ensure that assigned deliveries to customers meet or exceed expectations. What you own (responsibilities):

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured QA test plans and test cases.
  • Evaluate current data collection and testing processes to identify process improvements.
  • Ensure quality control of intermediate or final product deliverables.
  • Identify, thoroughly record, and properly communicate to the development team bugs/defects/issues associated with product releases.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Test and evaluate multiple Android/iOS models and OS version mobile device variants.
  • Test mobile devices using our automated test platform to validate the automation itself.
  • Test and evaluate hardware/software robotics that performs mobile device functional testing; evaluate the mobile devices to ensure accurate robotic test results.
  • Perform mobile device functional testing.
  • Performs tasks thoroughly and completely.
  • Able to work daily onsite across multiple Dallas-Fort Worth locations.

What you bring (experience and qualifications):

We think it would be hard to do that in this job without specialized education or proven successful experience in:

  • Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field and/or 3+ years of mobile device testing or related quality assurance experience.
  • 2+ years of proven working experience in a QA Engineering role with active involvement in mobile device testing and development/testing life cycles.
  • Experience in agile testing and STLC phases.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent organizational and observational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work onsite and with remote people effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in change management processes preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and/or ISO 27001 ISO standards is a plus

The fine print:
You also must be able to travel locally in the DFW area as needed (sometimes working at our site in Coppell and sometimes at other customer facilities in the DFW area. We also think you may spend 0-5% of your time traveling outside of the DFW area for this role; potential destinations include Nashville, our headquarters in Baltimore, or another U.S. customer site location.

The physical requirements include time working in the warehouse site in Coppell near our automated lines and periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (you can use our “tech” office benefit to create whatever desk environment you prefer).

We are an agile organization, and so the duties and description of this role (as for our other positions) may change at any time as we adapt.

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
