Job Summary
The Quality and Training Specialist develops, coordinates and delivers training and education programs to meet the needs of an identified employee population or program group. Develops and facilitates planned programs for organizational change and improvement using action research, organizational development, and quality improvement concepts and methods.
- Train specialists in Patient Access functions for all specialties and divisions such as registration, pre-registration, scheduling, and benefit verification to ensure daily operations are maintained according to standard.
- Perform quality assurance audits on customer communications and work flow to ensure high quality outcomes in patient access and referrals.
- Train new or inexperienced staff on process, culture, and methodologies.
- Review individual productivity reports to provide coaching to improve performance if required.
- Occasionally perform Patient Access functions for all specialties and divisions such as registration, pre-registration, scheduling, and benefit verification to ensure daily operations are maintained according to standard.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5 years of customer service experience conducting employee training or specialized subjectmatter education programs in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience as described above.
- Associates degree and 3 years of experience as described above.
