Position: Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
Full-Time/Salary
SUMMARY: The QIDP is responsible for assuring the development, implementation, monitoring, and adaptation of program plans that are compliant with regulation and policy. The goal of the position is to assure that each individual enrolled in the program receives services in compliance with the team’s approved ISP and with resident treatment requirements regarding rights and protection from abuse and neglect. The QIDP functions as a role model in the areas of work ethic, client interaction, program implementation, and interaction with other staff, families, outside agencies, contract professionals, and licensing or Medicaid representative.
There is a functional supervisory relationship that exists between the QIDP and all staff responsible for program delivery. The QIDP is the program authority and as such can evaluate, direct or recommend the work of other team members. The QIDP may be assigned line authority supervisory responsibility for all Direct Care staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service Field and one year of experience. Or, other qualifying educational degrees as described in regulation.
  • Satisfactory references and BCI background check.
  • Must meet driving insurability requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to:
  • Function as Interdisciplinary Team Leader and assure that the team convenes as deemed appropriate.
  • Review and respond to all reports and documents regarding each individual. Assure integration of this information, as appropriate, into the Individual Service Plan.
  • Document all team meetings by developing and producing an Individual Program Plan.
  • Distribute or assure distribution of each plan and/or plan modification.
  • Train all involved staff regarding basic and program specific requirements.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate work of any assigned staff.
  • Direct and conduct abuse/neglect investigations.
  • Assumes QIDP on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attend and complete required training such as; regulation updates, medication administration, CPR, FIRST AID, TAPS, Abuse/Neglect Investigations, etc.
  • Observe, monitor, and verify program implementation
  • Provide actual program plan training to individuals.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork such as monthly summaries, QIDP notes, incident reports, etc.
  • Prepare, provide, and present information as needed or requested by the Human Rights Committee.
  • Assure on-going ICF/MR facility compliance with licensure/ Medicaid rules and regulations.
