Mentors Direct Support Professionals; develops implementation plans and programs for participants; facilitates contact with participants' family members; record keeping, intake and discharge. Works in a team environment with other QIDP’S and staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as a team to coordinate, support, and work with other RHPC QIDP’s or Administrative staff to ensure continuity of care for all Participants receiving services from RHPC.
  • Being responsible for Service Plan Development and implementation for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowing and enforcing agency policies.
  • Complete Implementation Strategy/ Progress Notes and send to the team within regulated time frame.
  • Manage staff, Participant and guardian concerns as they arise. Human resources will be the advisory for staff concerns.
  • Maintaining minimum standards for certifications of the developmental training program.

Supervision Received:

QIDP will also receive guidance from the Program Director. Supervision will be a general oversight based on compliance and an as needed basis. It is the Employees’ role as QIDP to ensure all duties and responsibilities are being met.

POSITION EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, in many different environments
  • Excellent public relations and social skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Maintain current driver’s license and good driving record
  • Possess a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) qualification
  • Ability to pass a criminal history background check
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid
  • Possess and maintain automobile insurance at all times during employment

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's in a human service related field (Required)

Experience:

· Experience providing professional services to individuals with intellectual disabilities from across a variety of settings.

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • QIDP Certification (Required)
  • CPR/First Aid
